Frequently asked questions

Rivet nuts or self-clinching nuts?

Rivet nuts install from one side – ideal for tubes and finished parts. Self-clinching nuts need two-side pressing but are stronger and neater for high-volume sheet work. We advise based on your design.

Do Helicoil inserts need a special tap?

Yes. A dedicated STI tap and matching installation tool are required for each thread size. We supply inserts and tools together.

Which blind rivets are strongest?

Steel or stainless structural rivets offer higher shear and tensile strength than standard aluminium rivets. Please share the materials and grip thickness.
